Help

Join a forum and ask for ideas; members are always willing to give advice and say what did, and didn't, work for them. See our endorsements page for ones we recommend.

Join a local club – all of the members will have built at least one pond. You can find a list of clubs online.

Pay for expert work when you don't feel confident or when it's highly skilled (or if you can't be bothered). If you don't think you can make your pond water tight or you are unsure you can do it yourself get a professional to do the work; digging, block building, fibreglassing, lining, windows, electrics, finishing; all have some sort of difficulties or problems. Remember it's usually a lot cheaper to pay for the expertise upfront than to get somebody to fix it. Again, see our endorsements page for recommendations.
